Payroll FAQ’s
When is payroll processed?
Payroll is processed on Monday, with a timesheet cut off point of 10.00 am. Timesheets processed on this day will be in accounts on Wednesday.
Please note: Bank holidays will affect this timetable
How will payment be made?
Payment is made by BACS
Can I elect to receive my payslip via email?
If you prefer not to receive your payslip via email and would prefer to receive by post, please indicate this in the appropriate box on your personal details form
I have a query on my pay, how do I resolve this?
Please contact the payroll department on 01277 658526. Have your current payslip and the weekending date of the payment you wish to query
Due to an error by GPS I have incurred Bank charges?
GPS recognises that mistakes occasionally happen and will refund bank charges incurred as a result of an error on our part. However, we will need to be in receipt of the relevant bank statement highlighting these charges befoe any correction is made
My NI number or Tax code appears incorrect
Contact the payroll department immediately for the information to be amended or discussed

I am leaving/have left, how do I receive a P45?
Please call or email the payroll department and request the P45. this will be sent out to your home address, providing all your timesheets up to your leaving date have been processed. Please allow five working days for receipt.
Do I receive Sick pay?
Statutory sick pay is paid if a temp qualifies. This is payable after the 4th day of sickness and a medical certificate must be provided.
SSP is Payable at £75.40 / week or pro rata to a day where applicable.

Can I get receive maternity Benefit?
Statutory maternity is paid if a temp qualifies. You will only qualify if you have been engaged with GPS Recruitment continuous service for 26 weeks up to and including the 15th week before expected week of birth, you give us 28 days notice, Provide evidence of pregnancy.

Will I receive paid holiday?
All PAYE Temp workers are entitled to accrue holiday entitlement, which will enable you to book and be paid for up to 24 days holiday per year. Please refer to our payroll and holiday guide
